SADde naal….

It’s really been a long time I didn’t publish a post. I wont say I was too busy to do it rather it was just the lack of the feeling to write something. I strongly believe that if I really wanna do something I will somehow manage to find the time to do it. This semester doesn’t seem that easy that earlier ones used to be. Though in our uni MCA course is regarded (and it is) quite engaging but I and some of my friends took previous sems quite lightly. I guess there was some space that we could afford to take it easy. But no this one has its plans. Right from the beginning days of this session the updates of placements is hovering around. Though it happens every year but notions like we also will be in the same boats next year forcedly make us pay a little bit heed over our studies. Though personally I haven’t started study but the pressure just doesn’t allow you to chill around with the same intensity that we used to do in our last sems. Moreover the threats like if you don’t study at least these papers now, you will no matter how you dislike it have to go through during your placement time, compel us to do something about it. Whatever are the types of threats or warning my gang continue to have the fun with the same spirit. Though earlier we used to gossip for some 4-5 hrs now it has reduced to 1-2 hr. There is always at least a class where we do not feel like listening to damn boring lecture. Though it does not lead to the erroneous conclusion that the teacher at the other end is boring kind of, its just that our grey cells reject to manipulate the voice signals of specific amplitude and frequency that eventually comes out from the mouth of the lecturer at the other end - specially in DCN (Data Communication Network jise Dil Chahta Nahi ! ) and then there is ultimate boring subject – SAD (System Analysis and Design) really sad, where I really struggle to find something interesting. Believe me I never presumed of any subject so soporific like SAD.I often say ‘ is there anything to understand ‘.

I just wonder how two extreme things bother us. One subject doesn’t appeal to me because it has so many weird technologies’ names of different data communication with numerous patterns just because of slight difference of amplitude and frequency briefly not that easy to understand (see it’s the beginning of the course I don’t know what it has in store) and then there is a subject that doesn’t appeal to me because there is nothing challenging to figure it out, because it doesn’t contain things that will lead us to apply some logic.

Aren’t our personality too lies somewhere in these categories. Some people feel to look for those who are too simple to complicate anything. They are uncomplex with no-frills. They are so plain that wherever you go with them you will have a smooth journey. As in the case of exam no answer is absolutely wrong nor right, but yes it will guarantee you a few marks even if you haven’t written the way it should have. You surely will be in safer side if not at negative extreme but may be after some negotiations (in marks distribution also) at your side and sometimes at the other end. They are so simple that you wont find anything perplexing to revise or remember them again and again for the sake of being in touch with them. Their terms, their words are so self explanatory that only a concise line will make you predict what could be the next move or proceedings and how to deal with them. But then somewhere down the line people may fade their attraction, interest for them. When in the beginning they make you over joy with the fact that you don’t need to struggle to get along with them, which in turn can get you decent marks in mark (life) sheet. They simply come to us on easy terms. When time passes by you feel your potential is much more than this. You can get along with other tough ones also.

At least there is some spark in the seemingly tough ones. Something unpredictable. Something complex if you don’t understand them at first place but darn easy after some time if you somehow manage to get the hold on some basic part of them. There is always something to explore, to keep your interest alive, to revitalize your brain and beauty, to run after something you feel worth comprehending and appreciating and then to worry just to find if there is something worrisome in itself.

In the prior case you feel like you wont lose anything while in the latter case it’s always a mystery because things are not that generic here. Most of the times you need to handle them accurately and carefully. Prior one is easy to tackle with but in most cases wont get you full points. Latter one is tough to tackle with but will get you full points if situation favors otherwise might be zero also.

Personally I suppose both are the requirement for a good completion of (life) course. Prior one doesn’t ask for core logic it gives you points for your intuition, guess also i.e. good try-accordingly-good gain. Latter one asks for a clear logic, if you hit you get the full marks if you miss you might have to be content with miserable or no marks, i.e right logic-absolutely right gain. Don’t we come across these types of characters in our daily life? Some are so simple to not to resist from approaching, some seem so complicated to not to resist from unraveling.

Then there comes a catch, nothing is perfect. Every stage of life is not always same, so is the every subject. Every phase has its own significance. Moreover if even a single thing is missing there will be an urgent demand to get it again. I suppose that is why every person sooner or later makes his presence felt important though in a different state of condition. That is why I guess supposedly theoretical odd subjects persist to be in the courses.

If the SAD is filled up with its generic and boring chapters, there are surely some topics you cant take for granted. And DCN must have something very easy even than that of the SAD to show you a silver line. So the every personality does have some trait that some other person will find appealing one. Crux is no one in the world can’t manage to live happily without having to deal with the other category. In fact no one can categorize people or subjects impeccably as no one is filled with a single trait or pattern. It’s just the major part they are made of which determines their complexion. Sooner or later one has to get hold of at least some part of them, which is bare minimum.

Crux is also that I have to prepare myself for minimum passing marks for both the subjects. By the way with which kinda subject or personality you relate more?

  • Such an intense insight into human psychology !!!
    good comparison....
    my take:
each subject has its own importance.
there's smthing easy in the tough ones and vice versa.
these differences in the subjects bring colors to our career.
    we need both of them.

BTW i think i belong to the easier one.... :)

"y u go on making things so complicated.." Anu..have u heard of this song from Avril..

i sometime find u real example of tht..

seriously u sometime put things itnaa ghumaa-phiraaa ki u loose ur style.. ANU Style(Humorous, lite nd easy going)..
ne way about exams nd all i m also planning to put big-big post, putting all my Engg. exp... nd through tht i really want to convey my frnds reading my post all the tricks to score-nd-manage university papers..though i did my engg. from Pune Univ. i feel that all my-fundass gonna be applicable to all univs.
ne way hope its Anu kii tension tht not allowing the humorous touch to come out in her words.. koi naa .. this is called "POSITIVE TENSION" which results in some good things.. so "take it PROPERLY" nd u will sail through this successfully..

  • A departure from ur usual posts, more so in the mood.
N it was good 2 c u heeding some advice from ppl like me, n coming up with sthg diff.
Nice analogy, but i did get lost again in the verbosity.Never mind.
Subjects, esp. engg. subjects are always like tht, as this stream tries to make u a Jack-of-all,during the course, making u study many unwanted things.
N there r no. of factors tht affect one's interest in a subject at coll level, i feel a good faculty can do wonders to even rocket science.

Taking the analogy even further, i feel in life ur exp. acts as a faculty. The bitter/better u hv, the more u'll b able to learn the complexities tht come tagged with life, n also with some ppl, as u said in the post.

As per me, I'm a mixed bag, simple yet complex.Though, one needs a good faculty to get thro. :-).
